March 26, 2026 (MLN): GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited reported a strong financial performance for the year ended December 31, 2025, with net profit rising 53.4% year-on-year to Rs10.03bn, compared to Rs6.54bn in CY24.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) increased significantly to Rs31.48 from Rs20.52 in the previous year, showing improved profitability.
The board also declared a final cash dividend of Rs12 per share (120%), in addition to an interim dividend of Rs5 per share (50%), taking total payout to Rs17 per share.
The robust bottom-line growth was driven by strong gross margins and lower finance costs.
Revenue from contracts with customers grew 7.7% YoY to Rs65.90bn, up from Rs61.19bn in CY24. Meanwhile, cost of sales declined by 9.35% to Rs41.52bn, leading to a sharp 58.5% increase in gross profit, which stood at Rs24.38bn.
On the operating side, selling, marketing and distribution expenses rose 17.2% to Rs5.53bn, while administrative expenses increased 8.9% to Rs1.96bn.
Other operating expenses also surged 59.3% to Rs1.46bn.
Other income declined significantly by 50.1% to Rs1.41bn, compared to Rs2.83bn last year.
Despite this, operating profit jumped 56.2% to Rs16.85bn, supported by strong gross margins.
Finance costs dropped sharply by 46.4% to Rs167.5mn, providing further support to earnings.
As a result, profit before income tax rose 59.3% to Rs16.68bn.
However, taxation increased by 69% to Rs6.66bn, leading to a net profit of Rs10.03bn for the year.
Total comprehensive income also increased by 54.1% to Rs10.18bn.
