June 15, 2026 (MLN): Pioneer Cement Limited's (PSX:PIOC) Board of Directors has approved the installation of a 28.265 MW solar power plant at the company's plant site in Chenki, Jauharabad, District Khushab.

The company stated that the solar plant is expected to be commissioned and commence commercial operations during the second quarter of FY2026-27, company’s on PSX revealed today.

The company said the strategic investment reflects its continued commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and long-term value creation for stakeholders, and is expected to result in significant savings in energy costs.

The investment will be funded entirely through the company's own cash flows.
