- Sapphire Fibres Limited (SFL) was incorporated in Pakistan on June 5, 1979 as a public company. The Company is principally engaged in the manufacturing and selling of yarn, fabrics, and garments. It had an installed capacity of 102,480 spindles and 61.7Mn pounds of yarn in FY24. Its denim capacity stood at 20.4Mn meters, and its knitted fabric and garment segment had an installed capacity of 13.8Mn pounds. SFL produced 9.6Mn pounds of garments during the year.
- SFL has its own power generation plant with a capacity of 212MW which they sell directly to NEPRA.
- Sales clocked in at PKR 47.4Bn as compared to PKR 46.4Bn, up 2% over the SPLY in FY24. Gross margin arrived at ~12%, down 7ppt YoY from ~19% due to reduced global demand, high raw material costs, and increased wages. Other income arrived at PKR 3.7Bn compared to PKR 1.9Bn, up 92%YoY primarily attributable to dividend income from its subsidiaries; mainly Sapphire Electric Company Limited.
