- Oil prices hovered near two-week highs on Monday following 6% gains last week, as geopolitical tensions heightened between western powers and major oil producers Russia and Iran, raising risks of supply disruption.
- Stock benchmarks rose across Asia in early Monday trade, with markets from Australia to Japan and Hong Kong recording gains. US futures also edged higher. Meanwhile, the yield on 10-year Treasuries dropped four basis points to 4.36%
- Pakistan's capital was put under a security lockdown on Sunday ahead of protests by supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan calling for his release.
