- Cement dispatches for Apr-2025 clocked in at 3.3mn tons, reflecting a 13% YoY increase with local dispatches reported 8% YoY and export up 35% YoY growth mainly due to a low base from last year. On a MoM basis, however, local dispatches fell 6% mainly on account of Eid holidays at the start of the month.
- Cumulatively, cement dispatches remained steady YoY during 10MFY25, as a 6% decline in local demand was offset by a 29% surge in exports, driven primarily by a 35% YoY increase in South region.
- Going forward, we expect demand to pick up in the construction sector as the impact of monetary easing kicks in. Additionally,
potential relief for the construction sector such as lower property transaction taxes, new housing schemes, and higher PSDP
allocation in the FY26 budget will be key factors influencing cement demand.
